On October 24, 2013, a Tanzania-China Business Forum was held in Guangzhou, President of Chinese feed machinery manufacturer which was viewed as a top-notch brand - Muyang, Fan Tianming, was invited to participate in this event. Tanzanian Prime Minister, Mizengo Pinda, met with the President of Muyang, Fan Tianming, on the afternoon of the 24th as the two sides held friendly talks. At the meeting, Tanzania Investment Centre Executive Director Julieth Kairuki said that a total of 46 companies and institutions investing and trading in Tanzania were participating in the forum and the China Africa Business Council had 44 companies registered to take part in the forum.
Fan Tianming gave an introduction that the African market was always a key market and area of high growth for the company. China and Tanzania, shared a good relationship, and next year would mark the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations. China and Tanzania are currently in frequent contact, and deepen exchanges and business cooperation in this important period.
In recent years, Tanzania's agriculture and infrastructure is with a stable development and a growing inflow of foreign capital into the country is expected to usher a period of steady growth for years, which is undoubtedly a chance for Muyang on a bigger and stronger step to accelerate the pace of globalization. Muyang has a great advantage of the field in feed manufacturing, grain milling, bulk solids handling and storage, edible oil manufacturing, brewing industry, powder engineering, biomass energy, animal breeding and raising, industrial automation, steel structure building, tunneling as well as agricultural cultivation.
In 1982 the Tanzania Animal Feed Company as a parastatal was formed whose mandate was to produce animal feeds for poultry, cattle and pigs. However the company faced several operational problems including lack of funds to replace feed production machinery which resulted into the company being unbearable and declared insolvent and place under receivership in 1989. In Tanzania the feedstuffs account for about 60% of production costs of farm animals.
Prime Minister of Tanzanian, Pinda, said Muyang is engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry machinery and engineering serving to leading companies, Tanzania is also rich in agricultural resources, so it can complement Muyang well and hopes that the two sides can further exchange and cooperate.
